With a discography boasting 12 outstanding recordings, including their latest release,
"TELL IT LIKE IT WAS," THE HENDRIX TRIO consistently delivers exceptional music that resonates with their devoted fan base. Furthermore, their personal expertise as event organizers is evident in the success of the 8 Gospel Music Cruises they have hosted. They are also founding members of RDH PROMOTIONS, a testament to their influential role in shaping the gospel music landscape in the 4 States and surrounding areas.

As THE HENDRIX TRIO commemorates their three-decade journey, their legacy as a harmonious force in Southern/Country Gospel remains unshakable. Their timeless melodies and tireless dedication continue to encourage, pray for and uplift audiences, leaving an indelible mark on the world of southern gospel music.

From Two Family Groups to a Unified Ministry

BOBBY HENDRIX - For over 25 years, Bobby has showcased his compassion and expertise as a Registered Nurse (RN), currently serving at the Texarkana Surgery Center. Alongside his nursing career, he brings his musical talents to the forefront, playing the piano, arranging music, and lending his captivating vocals to the trio's harmonies. Additionally, Bobby remains an integral part of Faith Assembly of God, their home church, faithfully playing the piano during worship services.

RHONDA HENDRIX - With a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in the travel industry, Rhonda has excelled as a travel agent and has operated her own venture, RHONDAS TRAVEL, from the comfort of her home for the past 20+ years. Rhonda wears many hats within THE HENDRIX TRIO. She lends her incredible vocal abilities to the group, writes inspiring songs, skillfully assumes the role of emcee, and takes charge of the trio's bookings, ensuring their ministry reaches far and wide.

The inspiring story of THE HENDRIX TRIO begins with the union of Bobby and Rhonda in 1989.

Prior to forming their own ministry, the couple sang with their respective family groups for many years while seeking God's guidance for their future. Bobby's musical journey took root during his upbringing, as he sang and honed his piano skills from the tender age of 10 with The Gospel Chimes, his family's group based in Texarkana, AR.

Meanwhile, Rhonda embarked on her singing path alongside her sisters as The Jenkins Sisters during her teenage years. It was at a concert where their two families were both performing that Rhonda and Bobby serendipitously crossed paths. Their connection blossomed, leading to courtship and ultimately culminating in marriage.

Rhonda fondly recalls, "Yeah, I was an old maid by the time Bobby found me. I had to wait for him to grow up, but I'm only 6 years older than he is! As they say, the rest is history!"

In 1992, the couple founded THE HENDRIX TRIO, marking the beginning of their extraordinary musical and ministerial journey. In February 2022, they joyously celebrated their 30th anniversary of dedicated service to their ministry.

Bobby and Rhonda's remarkable union, unwavering faith, and shared passion for music have fostered THE HENDRIX TRIO's profound impact on audiences and the southern gospel music scene. Their commitment to spreading the message of hope and inspiration through their harmonious melodies continues to uplift and inspire countless lives.

Growing Up & Accepting the Call to Ministry

RANESSA HENDRIX- Bobby and Rhonda’s daughter, aged 31, sings high Soprano for the group. Since the group's founding in 1992 was before Ranessa's time, she did not join the group as a full-time member

until the age of 14, in 2008.
She has been their third part since that time.

Over the years she has grown in the group's ministry and has been given a wonderful testimony, from the Lord, to share with young people wherever they go.
